Low Pro Eats

Launching in 2020

Low Pro Eats is the MDDA foodies program. Designed to provide greater access and choices to people who Shop and Dine Low Pro.
The MDDA Low Pro Eats program provides access to inclusive dining experiences, and specialty shopping outlets via the following features:

Low Pro Eats – Shoppers Guide

An online guide (coming in 2020) listing online and physical grocery outlets that sell specialised low protein products and other suitable specialty grocery items. MDDA members will also be encouraged to upload and share their own favourite finds with others.

Low Pro Eats – Venue Program

Enjoy hassle free and inclusive low protein dining out experiences by dining at a recognised Low Pro Eats establishment. These establishments either offer regular low protein menu options as part of their daily choices OR are aware of low protein dietary needs and are equipped to handle special meal requests as part of their usual meal service as recommended by our Member community.

The Grand Hotel in Warrandyte, Victoria was the first of these establishments to put in place a regular and dedicated low protein menu, providing delicious menu choices for individuals with restricted protein diets. This venue won the AHA 2018 Peoples Choice award as a direct result of their service and support to our IEM community. The MDDA is looking to sign up other venues around Australia and has a “Venue Program” kit available to get them get started.

If you know if a venue or establishment that would like to get involved in our Low Pro Eats venue program, please contact the MDDA.
